{TCP Tuesday #204}

Holy smokes!  It's the last day of April and for us Canadians, that means it's TAX DAY! Are you done yours?  I got ours done last week so no last-minute stressing out here. :)  I've been trying to get ahead with my DT duties but since this is the last day of the month, it's also the last day to finish this month's TCP Tuesday challenges to be in the running for Swanky Stamper (one day it will be me!!!  LOL) so I took this morning to work on TCP Tuesday #204- Use any TCP stamps that are Easter-related as well as the Cloud die, Grass die or Easter Basket die.

You all know how much I love that TCP bunny so what better stamp to use than one featuring him?  He *could* be the Easter Bunny, right?  :)  I decided to use "Take Off" as well as the Clouds Cut-Ups die... two of my favorite TCP items!  I also found a great color combo at CR84FN Color Challenge and Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch is always an excellent "go-to" sketch...but I did flip it upside down:

Thanks for stopping by - My youngest is home sick today so I guess I will be playing nurse for most of the rest of the day.  Enjoy your Monday!

4CCC-87 {No Stamping Zone}

Welcome back for another 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge!  This week, Lori is our hostess-with-the-mostest and she is challenging you to create a card with NO STAMPING!!!  Dig out those stickers, chipboard, and rub-ons...you'll be able to use them for this one!!!

I have a bunch of rub-ons but hardly ever use them so this challenge was perfect.  I also used a bunch of dies from Verve and TCP to make a fairly quick, no-stamping card.  I used last week's Color Throwdown color combo and one of Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketches for my card:

Paper: Sweet Threads (BG), Melon Mambo DSP (SU!), Always Artichoke, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery Accessories: Apron border die (TCP), SU! Rub-on, Pretty in Pink satin ribbon, Floral Circles & Leaves dies (Verve), Scallop Rectangle die (Verve), button, twine, sewing machine

Thanks for popping by today - enjoy your day!

4CCC-86 {Boys Dig It}

 Welcome back for another 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge!  Sorry my card is so late this morning...no excuse from me other than I just haven't had time to sit down and make a card.  I recently went back to work three days a week and, although it doesn't sound like a lot, finding time to fit everything in has been quite a chore!  Thursday is one of my *home* days so after getting the boys off to school this morning, I rushed home and sat down to make this for Tamie's fabulous "Boys Dig It" challenge!  I don't make a lot of boy/masculine cards so this was a great opportunity to add one to my stash. :)

I was able to play along with Arielle's Colour Q Challenge as well as Jen's April Sketch For You To Try - a couple of my favorites:

Thanks for stopping by today!  As always, enjoy the rest of your week and hopefully Spring has sprung wherever you are.  :)  If  you have time to stop by the rest of the Chicks' blogs to see what they created, I'd encourage you to do so - they always have such great ideas!  Later, gators!

4CCC-85 {Material Girl}

Hi everyone! Was the Easter Bunny good to you all?  We've had a great week of weather here and I am just itching to get outside and do *stuff*!  This week at the 4 Crafty Chicks, I am your hostess-with-the-mostest and I've decided that I want to see some fabric/material on your cards...and ribbon does NOT count!  I have to make it a *challenge*, right?

For my card I combined last week's Colour Q challenge and an iSpy Sketch from a couple of weeks ago... my flowers are cut from felt.  LOVE felt!!

Hope you have fun with this challenge - fabric can be found and used in MANY different ways!  Can't wait to see what you come up with!  Have a great week!

4CCC-84 {Flowers}

It's APRIL!!! Holy smokes!!  How did that happen?  Seems like just yesterday it was Christmas... *sigh*  But thankfully, we've enjoyed a very mild winter and spring seems like it's right around the corner.  And what better way to celebrate than with a challenge from the 4 Crafty Chicks??  Leanne is our hostess-with-the-mostest and she wants to see FLOWERS!!!  One flower, two flowers, a whole bunch... you decide!!

I had fun combining two TCP Tuesday Challenges - TCP Tuesday #202 was to "put a little grass with class" in your project and TCP Tuesday #203 was this FABULOUS color combo - the perfect match. :)  So I dug out my "Kick Some Grass" stamp set (TCP) and my Grass Cut-Ups die (TCP) and got to work.  Found a lovely CAS sketch from Karen over at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge... et voila!

There ya go - A little bit of inspiration for you!  Make sure to stop by the rest of the Chicks' blogs because I know they've got some awesome projects for you this week.  Enjoy your Easter weekend!
