BRRRRRRRR! It has been bone-chillingly cold here in central Alberta the last few days.  And before that, Mother Nature dumped MORE snow on us.  I've had just about enough of this darn winter and it's not even officially here yet!  I'm in trouble...

Today I've got a card that uses this week's Color Throwdown and the sketch from Mojo Monday.  It's been quite awhile since I've played along with Mojo Monday so it was nice to get back. 

The stamps are from the TAWS sets, Seek Him and Christmas Magic:

BE Inspired 38 & Mojo 312

Welcome back for another 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge! This week, Tamie is our hostess with the mostest and before she left on holidays, she told us to make projects "For the Boys," so that's just what we did.  :)

This month's new release over at The Alley Way Stamps features two nautical/pirate-y sets, Blackbeard's Loot & Land HO!, so when I saw the inaugural Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge, I knew I had to use them for my card:

BE Inspired #32 & Mojo Monday 300 (again...)

Hi everyone! Did you all survive your 4th of July holiday?  I hope you all enjoyed some time off with family and friends...that's what holidays are all about.  :)

It's time for a brand new BE Inspired Challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps blog.  This week's picture is a fun one - so many fun ideas swirling around in my head:

This will come as no surprise to anyone (giggle), but I decided to go with the colors in the picture.  I know - I can hear you all gasping and falling out of your chairs because that is so unexpected from me.  ;)  I thought the neutrals worked well with the orange hues in the polka dots so went with it:

The stamps are from TAWS All About You and this month's freebie set, Iconic.  I used the Mojo Monday sketch again just because it's so darn awesome (and there are goodies up for grabs just for playing along!):

4CCC-149 {Dry Embossing} & Mojo300 & Fusion 13

Happy Independence Day to all my wonderful American friends!  I'm sure you will all be busy celebrating today so when you are all finished with that, I hope you will join us for a brand new 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge.  This week Leanne is our hostess-with-the-mostest and she's got an EASY one for us all this week: Dry Embossing.  Use a stencil, embossing folder or whatever else you've got that you can dry emboss with.  I know most of you have a bunch of embossing folders so get 'em out and use them!

For my card I used a couple different folders - a fantastic woodgrain one from Stampin' UP! that I used on the birdhouse and the big flag and then a leafy branch one on the white layer.  I thought it was kind of like the trunk of the tree and the branches/leaves that a birdhouse would hang from.  The stamps are from two different TAWS sets, Tag-alongs and Bird Brain:

The sketch is this week's Mojo Monday sketch - celebrating 300 sketches!!  Wow...I can hardly believe Julee has been blessing us with fabulous sketches for so long - thanks, Julee.  :)

And the card was inspired by this week's Fusion Card Challenge Inspiration picture - the colors of the birds and the bird theme:

4CCC -140 {Stars} & DD#50 & Mojo291

Welcome back for another 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge! This week is being hosted by Leanne and, in addition to our regularly scheduled challenge, we are also on the lookout for a few talented crafters to join our DT as a Guest Designer for a month in either June, July or August.  For all the details, please check out the 4CCC blog.

I kind of let this challenge go until the last second - I was frantically trying to get my card done yesterday after school and was thrilled when the stars aligned (stars..get it???) and my card fell into place fairly quickly.  I must have been a little bit frazzled though because before I remembered my card needed a STAR on it, I had a bow there instead.  Yep, can we say...DUH?  ;)

I am so excited for my fellow Chick, Lori, as she has just been chosen to join the DT over at Dynamic Duos!!!  To be honest, I had never heard of them before but will be playing along as often as I can because their challenge is a COLOR CHALLENGE!!!  My favorite kind!  Here's the combo I got to play with this week:

I used a sentiment from the new TAWS release, Delicate Doilies and made this little thank you card:

4CCC-139 {Felt} & CQC186 & Mojo290

Morning everyone! Can it really be the last Thursday in April? Seriously? Where did the month go?  This week over at the 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge, Lori has got a fun supply challenge for us to play with - FELT!  I LOVE using felt on my cards - it adds such great depth and texture.

For my card, I used some felt flowers from Stampin' Up! (from a LONG time ago) and whipped together this little card using this week's Mojo Monday sketch and the combo from Colour Q - how perfect is it that the inspiration photo is a birdhouse made of FELT???
