Totally Stampalicious Goes Monochromatic

Are you ready for a challenge?  When I saw this week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious, I was a little bit scared.  I admit it ~ I like colors.  Lots of colors.  But blue isn't one of my favorites... not sure why but I will go to almost any other color before I go to blue if given the choice.  So, when asked to make a monochromatic, BLUE card, I paused.  But, not one to give up before getting started, I set to work.

I blog surfed for a bit and found a sketch that would fit my image perfectly over at Eat Sleep Stamp:

Recipe - Stamps: Let it Snow Stella (Totally Stampalicious)  Ink: Not Quite Navy  Paper: Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, SU! DSP  Accessories: Paper piercer, Nesties, Swiss Dots embossing folder, Bashful Blue satin ribbon, adhesive pearls, dimensionals, Copics

Thanks for stopping by this morning - have fun creating a monochromatic blue card.  Enjoy your Monday!

Totally Stampalicious ... One More Friggin' Candle?

Hi there, Stamping Peeps!

It's time for another Totally Stampalicious challenge and this week's challenge is a sketch:
I decided to use the Stella Birthday stamp for my card because she just makes me laugh and I needed a little giggle... who doesn't love a crotchety old lady???

Doesn't it make you smile?  I used some Tea Party paper from Stampin' Up as my jumping off point for the rest of the card and I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to make it work for the stamp...

Thanks for peeking in - if you decide to join us for this sketch challenge, don't forget to go back to the Totally Stampalicious blog and link us so we can come and give you some love.  :)  See you later!
