Get Your Bling On!

Wow!  Here we are at the end of July already?  How did that happen?  We've got a fun challenge for everyone this week over at the 4 Crafty Chicks courtesy of our hostess-with-the-mostest, Lori: "Get Your Bling On."  This should be a fun and easy challenge for lots of you to play along with.

My card is actually pretty basic this week. I made it about a month ago when all of us Chicks went to visit Leanne for a weekend of laughs and crafting.  I know I used a sketch from somewhere but, for the life of me, I cannot remember where.  I know it was an OLD one, though.

There you have it - a totally bling-a-licious card but also very simple.  I know there are lots of you out there who don't let your "inner glitter" out often enough... what are you waiting for?  Get busy and get your bling on!  We can't wait to see what you create!

And They Lived Happily Ever After...

Welcome to another fabulous Thursday - you all know what that means, right?  An amazing 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge.  This week's hostess is Tamie and she wants to see projects with a wedding theme.  There are so many possibilities for this challenge - scrapbook pages, cards, wedding gifts... have fun with it!

For my card, I combined Arielle's Colour Q #88 with a Clean & Simple Stamping sketch from last month:

Here's my attempt at CAS... I'm trying really hard to embrace this style because, let's be honest, cards come together in NO time at all!!!  LOL

Stamps: Happily Ever After (Darcie's)  Ink: Early Espresso  Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Kraft, Cherry Cobbler, SU! DSP  Accessories: Heart Tag Sizzlit, sewing machine, Scallop Edge border punch, corner rounder, Victoria EF, Perfect Polka Dots EF, sponge dauber

Enjoy the rest of your week - I hope you will have some time to play along with us this week!  See you soon!

Color Crazy at the 4 Crafty Chicks!

Helllloooooo Blogland!  How's everyone doing - summer keeping you busy?  We've been busy settling in and unpacking - so glad to finally be moved.  You don't realize how much *crap* you own until you have to pack it all up.  We will be having a garage sale this summer... enough is enough.  :)

So, this week's 4 Crafty Chicks hostess with the mostest is Yours Truly and I have come up with a fun, summery Color Combo Challenge for you all to play with:
For my card, I used a My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch from last month:
Stamps: To The Moon (Verve)  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black  Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Poppy Parade, various DSP scraps  Accessories: Sewing machine, buttons, twine, Pinking Circles & Circles Nesties

Enjoy the rest of your week!  See you again soon - don't forget to check out the other Chicks' blogs... they've done a fantastic job with these colors!  Can't wait to see everyone's creations...later!

Getting Sketchy at the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge!

Welcome back everyone!  Can you believe it is JULY??  ACK! This week's hostess with the mostest at the 4 Crafty Chicks is our gal, Leanne, and she has created a, shall we say, "interesting" sketch for us all to play with this week.

When I first saw her sketch, I was stumped....what was I going to do for those flourish-y things on the top and bottom???  I thought about die cuts, flowers, stamps but finally settled on buttons (my favorite!):

Stamps: To the Moon (Verve)  Ink: Early Espresso  Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Hello Luscious DSP (Basic Grey)  Accessories: Optic Dot border punch (MS), sewing machine, buttons, Scallop Oval punch, Oval punch, Rose Red seam binding, sponge dauber

I hope you are enjoying your summer holidays wherever you are. See you next week and don't forget to visit the other Chicks' blogs!
