{SSSC181} & {CTD 235}

HAPPY EASTER!  How's the weather where you are?  This weekend has been absolutely GORGEOUS here in central Alberta and I am sooooooo itching to get outside and get the yard cleaned up and ready for the summer.  I was even able to crack open a few windows yesterday and, let me tell you, that was AWESOME!

So, we've a *fun* Sweet Sunday Sketch for you all this week - yep, it's got a darn tilty panel.  For some reason, those always throw me off a bit.  I like a nice, squared-up card and this tilty-whirly nonsense makes me twitch - am the only one?

I did the best I could.  I used the amazing Wings of HOPE from The Alley Way Stamps - it's the freebie this month when you spend $40 or more and today is the LAST day you can get this little lovely free...who doesn't love free?

And just because I still had the Color Throwdown colors out on my desk from yesterday's card, I used them again - they were perfect for this card:

All of the fabulous Sweet Sunday Stampers have inspiration for you, so please stop by and say hello to:

Dana White (taking the week off but please stop and say hi!)

... and this week's Guest Sweet Stamper, Alyssa Scritchfield!  I hope the rest of your weekend is filled with family and love - and maybe a stamp or two?  :)  See you next week!

Wish BIG Sneak Peek & JUGS 181

Are you as excited as I am????  I can't believe another month has passed so quickly and we're already in the midst of another fantastic release from The Alley Way Stamps.  Today we're sneak-peeking the third set, Wish BIG, and it's an AMAZING birthday set...a wrapped gift, a party hat, balloons and a banner - and the sentiments I {love}.

Here's my card using one of those sentiments:

I also used the Just Us Girls' color combo and a Seize the Birthday sketch - too late for STB but I loved the simplicity of the sketch...perfect for those last minute cards!

What do you think?  I know it doesn't really show the awesomenosity of the entire set, but I bet the rest of the girls can help you with that one.  Stop on over at the TAWS blog to see what else the talented ladies have done with this set.

See you on Saturday for our TAWS Blog Hop where you could win all three of the new sets!

Quick.  Simple.  Awesome.  The sentiment is from the TAWS set, Spring Has Sprung...bunnies and chicks and eggs...OH MY!  Perfect for this time of year.

4CC-134 {Circles} & CQC181

Hi everyone! Welcome back for another amazing installment of the 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge. This week Tamie is our hostess-with-the-mostest and she wants you to show us some circles!  That's right - round, clean, circles.

I decided to use circles on my papers, as a die cut for the sentiment panel and a nice, round button completes my trio of circular-ness...yes, pretty sure that's a word.  :)  I used this week's Colour Q combo along with stamps from The Alley Way Stamps sets, "Ka-POW" and "Words to Live By."

Even the inspiration picture has lots of circular-ness.  :)  If you still need more inspiration, don't forget to stop by the 4 Crafty Chicks' blog...the girls are sure to get your mojo going.

Have a fabulous day - spring is FINALLY here!  Smile!

SSSC180 & CQC180...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!  Well, well, well... Is it really that time again?   How have two weeks gone by so quickly?  GACK!  It's time for a brand new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and Karen has come up with a great one for you all to play with:

I decided to change it up a little bit this week and instead of making the entire sketch the card, I made it the central panel on the card.  Confused?  Take a peek:

Yes, instead of a half circle, I used a WHOLE button but we crafters get to take liberties once in awhile, right?  The St. Paddy's Day color combo is from this week's Colour Q challenge:

All of the fabulous Sweet Sunday Stampers have inspiration for you, so please stop by and say hello to:

Lynn Put (on a break this week but stop and say hi)

... and this week's FABULOUS and AMAZING Guest Sweet Stamper - my fellow Canadian (an Albertan, too, I think?) - Wendy Bond

Enjoy your Sunday - I've got a date with my textbook all day today.  I know - you're jealous.  ;)  I have a big exam to write and, I'm not going to lie, am a bit freaked out about it!  I do great on assignments but tests make me lose my mind.  OK - enough of my babbling!  Have a fantastic day!

BE Inspired #24 at TAWS

Happy Friday, everyone! Cannot BELIEVE we are through yet ANOTHER week - where does the time go?  It's time for a brand new BE Inspired Challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps and there are soooooo many possibilities using this photo for inspiration:

As usual - I really should try and step outside my box - I used the bright, fun colors as inspiration for my card and combined them with the new Deconstructed Sketch:

Can you guess which TAWS set the sentiment is from?  Come on...you know it...my new favorite set...All About YOU.  It really is my go-to set and a must-have for anyone who like a good sentiment.

Alrighty then - that's it for me today.  I've got a busy weekend of studying to do and an exam to write before next Wednesday.  I will be so glad when this course is OVER!  Enjoy your weekend everyone!

4CCC-133 {CAS} & CQC180 & CTS18

Hidey-ho, crafty neighbours!  How's everyone doing today?  It's time for another 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge and this week yours truly is in charge of telling you what to do!  ;)  I decided to pick something that I used to be a real challenge for me - and I'm sure it is a tough one for many of you too - Clean & Simple cards.  I have gotten much better at embracing the space and minimal layers/embellishments but sometimes it is so hard to just be *done* with a card.

Luckily, there are MANY sketch challenges out there that can help those of us who are CAS-challenged & CAS(E) This Sketch is one of my favorites.  I combined their sketch from last week with this week's St. Patrick's Day-inspired Colour Q:

See?  Even *I* deviated from the sketch and added a few little gems in the top corner for sparkle...and it looked so *empty*.  ;)  CAS doesn't have to be boring so have fun - color, texture and dimension can all be used to make a CAS card appear to be *more*.

Thanks for stopping by today - see you tomorrow for a new BE Inspired Challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps!
