Sentimental Sundays on Monday...

UGH!  Sorry everyone!  AGAIN, I forgot to come back and finish my post and with Mother's Day yesterday, I wasn't on the computer at all...

OK - so this week at Sentimental Sundays the theme is "Anything Goes" as long as you have a sentiment on your card.  This should be week full of great submissions!

For my card, I combined the Week One sketch over at Viva la Verve and the most recent Color Cue combo:

Thanks for stopping by - the weather is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous here all week so you can bet I'll be out enjoying it!  See y'all later!

Here's a Monday Quickie...

Hey everyone!

I hope you are enjoying Monday wherever you are - it is sunny and breezy here but I'm not complaining!  At least it's not snowing...  :)

I had a few minutes to play before getting supper ready so I thought I'd sit down and finish the card I started the other night.  I actually only glittered the letters the other night and finished the rest today.

I used Dawn's wonderful color combo over at Color Cue:

And OCC's sketch (rotated, of course...):

For this (to me) CAS card:

Thanks for stopping by - I'm counting down the days to my weekend Jasper retreat... I get to meet Joycelyn and Becky of Totally Stampalicious fame!  Can we say EXCITED?  I have a few DT cards to get done before I leave so I may be scarce this week but I'll do my best to pop back in at least once.   See you soon!

A Mojo Quickie...

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to post this quick card before I head out for a bit.  I haven't done Julee's Mojo Monday sketch for awhile so when I realized that my day off this week coincided with Mojo Monday and I had some time, I got to work.

I combined it with Dawn's Color Cue ... I thought this combination was, shall we say...interesting?
I got out some Whisper White, Cameo Coral, Summer Sun and some *old* Buckaroo Blue, thought for a few minutes and...

Recipe - Stamps: Beautiful Kindness, Grateful Heart Plain Jane (Verve Accessories: Scallop edge punch, adhesive pearls, white organza ribbon, blue satin ribbon, Birds & Swirls embossing folder, square punch, paper piercer, sewing machine

Yes, OK, I went a *bit* pearl-crazy.... I am totally aware I have a problem and am looking for a support group...  *giggle*  I rotated the sketch 90*, changed the oval out for a ribbon tab, and stitched around the squares panel.

Thanks for stopping by - I promise this is the last post for today!  :)  Don't forget to check out The Shabby Tea Room, Picture Perfect Creations and Totally Stampalicious for some fantabulous new challenges!  See ya later!

Hello Sunshine - A Bit Of Monday Mojolicioiusness!

Hello everyone!

I must say I am feeling a bit *lost* without my Olympic coverage!  I so enjoy watching the games and I will readily admit to watching HOURS and HOURS of interviews, replays and medal ceremonies.  I may also be a bit biased, but I think Vancouver/Whistler/Richmond did a fantastic job hosting the games.  Many tears of joy were shed by the athletes, their coaches, the fans and, yes, even me.  :)

I was out of the house most of the day - off to endure my daily dose of torture at the gym and then DH and I made a spur-of-the-moment trip to Edmonton to do some shopping for our basement reno.  It was a nice day out but by the time we got I home, I was ready to get inky!

It is the first Monday of the month and you all know what that means - - - Mojo Monday contest time!  I said it yesterday and I'll say it again - how these ladies come up with amazing sketches for us week after week astounds me!  Julee and her team always put together such beautiful samples to inspire us on our way and this week is no exception.  Here's the sketch:

I found a new color challenge while clicking from blog to blog - this one will be monthly.  Dawn from Stamp Away With Me has her own store, Wplus9 Designs, as well as a new color challenge - Color Cue.  The inaugural color combo is stunning!
I had fun with this one.  My initial impulse was to do a mostly white card with a few splashes of red, turquoise (I had to use Taken With Teal - no turquoise left!), and kraft but decided against it.  Here's what I came up with:

It's a very simple card - I used Verve's Accent Notes AGAIN - only a few embellishments and bling this time around... and NO PAPER PIERCING!!  What is this world coming to???  *giggle*

I've got a couple challenges I'd like to do tonight but it *is* "The Bachelor" finale... whatever will I do?  All's I can say is Jake better not choose Vienna...GACK!  I still wish he would have let Ali come back - I LOVED her and thought she was perfect for Jake.  Oh well...

Enjoy your evening everyone!
