Best Day {Ever} - - CQC231 & STS14

Hello again, crafty peeps! Can you believe we are into March already?  This year is ZIPPING by - not sure I like that too much.  The only thing I *do* like is the fact that every day that passes means we are one day closer to SPRING!  I know I live in Canada but, gosh darn it, I'm kind of done with winter...just sayin'.  ;)

Today marks the first of a couple of weeks of St. Patrick's Day-inspired color combos over at the Colour Q Challenge.  Today's inspiration is this awesome clover tea set (currently out of stock...:( )

One of my favorite guy friends is having a birthday this weekend and the sentiment on my card is one of his favorite things to say... and actually has become one of mine too.  Even if we are having the crappiest day ever, all one of us has to say is "Best Day Ever" and we are both smiling...it could be worse, right?

The sketch is the last one from Seize the Sketch:

On the inside I stamped a basic "Happy Birthday"... and decorated the inside with a small panel of the polka dot paper across the bottom.  :)

Ho...Ho...Ho... {CQC219} & {STS10}

It's another chilly day in central Alberta - can you believe in a meager two weeks Christmas will be OVER? OY!  I bet most of you are all done your shopping...I would guess I am about half done.  Hopefully I can get the rest done this weekend.

I've got a quick little card to share with you this morning - since I still had the Colour Q papers sitting out on my desk, I used the scraps to make a card using the TAWS set, Tag-Alongs and the new sketch from Seize the Sketch:

Hello everyone! Welcome back for another amazing Colour Q Color Challenge.  The inspiration photo really makes me long for the fall again - ours was cut short by a DUMP of snow over the weekend.  It was wet and HEAVY...shoveling was a terrific workout.  :)   Here's hoping that it doesn't stay until spring...

{BE Inspired #39} & {Seize the Sketch #5}

Welcome back for another fun BE Inspired challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps blog!  As we are getting closer to Halloween, it seems only fitting that this week's picture be related to this fun holiday - take a peek:

I can think of many ways to create something inspired by this fun photo - let your imagination run wild.  :)  I wasn't feeling very wild or imaginative so I went with my trusted stand-by - the colors!  I combined them with a simple sketch from Seize the Sketch and created this:

The images are from one of this month's new releases, Bacon Bits. I am in love with the vintage-retro feel of the fan, aren't you?
