There She Goes Sneak Peeks {Day Three}

A-tisket a-tasket a green and yellow basket…Melyssa has created the most darling Easter stamp set! This mini-set will be sure to please that egg-stra special person. The sentiment fonts are so whimsically fun and you’ll enjoy coloring these Easter eggs. This is a must have set.

Egg-stra Special is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 9 stamps and will sell for $7.00.

I think this might be my favorite TSG yet - SOOOOO stinkin' cute!!!  I'm not a huge Easter-card maker but I might be swayed to make a few more using this set.  If you only buy one set this release, make it this one!

For my card, I stamped and colored the main image and used the CR84FN Color Challenge along with the iSpy Sketches sketch from a couple weeks ago:

Paper: Wisteria Wonder, Basic Gray, Whisper White, scrap DSP  Ink: Versafine Onyx Black  Accessories: Copics, sewing machine, buttons, twine, grass die (TCP)

Would you like to win the new Egg-stra Special stamp sets? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetters' blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetters' blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post. You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps!

The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, February 25th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

Get Inspired By the 4 Crafty Chicks!

Hi everyone!  It's time for another 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge and this week's challenge is from our very own, fabulous Lori!  She discovered this lovely picture on the web and wants you to use it as inspiration for your creation this week:

I decided to go with the obvious color combo of black and white with a pop of red as well as being inspired by the big, red blooms in the vase on the coffee table.  I used a sketch from Clean  & Simple Stamping from a few weeks ago but made a couple minor tweaks to make it my own:

I hope you will have time to play along with us this week.  Please remember to let us know what about the photo inspired you - we love to see everyone's interpretations.  Have fun!

There She Goes Sneak Peek {Day Two}

Crayons, paint, canvas, and paint brushes are the tools of every great artist and Torico has created a set that will release our inner child. This set promises to bring out the artist in you. The darling line art in this set will having you pulling out all your favorite mediums and reconnecting to the “grown-up” artist that you are.

Every Child is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 14 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

I had grand ideas for this set but, unfortunately, couldn't make them happen - isn't that always the way?  My time was dwindling and I didn't have time to color one of these adorable images after trying to make my original idea work (picture color-coordinated twine coming out of the point of the crayons...in my head it worked perfectly!)  So, I will admit this was kind of a last-ditch effort that focuses on one of the fabulous sentiments in this set but kind of plays on the fun, whimsical point of the sentiment:

Paper: Whisper White, Taken With Teal, Gable Green (I think)  Accessories: Twine, buttons, Seeing Spots embossing folder

There She Goes Sneak Peek {Day One}

We have all had a loss for words…but have you ever had a loss for “numbers?” Torico’s new illustrated set brings the numbers to the forefront. With two sets of numbers to color, paper piece, or be creative with ink, Numbered Days is the set for you to send those birthday and anniversary wishes.

Numbered Days is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 37 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

Friendbots, Lovebots, Nursebots, and now Birthdaybots. Torico has been hard at work to bring us another fabulous bot! Is this bot ever cute. What a fabulous way to send out birthday wishes to your little bot.

Birthdaybot is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 4 stamps and will sell for $7.00.

For my card I decided to use the fabulous bot image from Birthdaybots as well as one of the sentiments from Numbered Days.  I paper-pieced the present and had a bit of fun coloring the little dude:

Paper: Fly a Kite (MME), Tangerine Tango, Whisper White  Accessories: Buttons, twine, paper piercer, Nesties, Copics

A little peek at the Copics I used:

Double Down!

How did another week zip by so quickly?  I swear, the older I get, the faster time goes.  I know that's how it is for everyone but it really doesn't seem fair- guess I've got to take time to smell the roses.

This week over at the 4 Crafty Chicks, Tamie is our hostess-with-the-mostest and she is challenging us to "Double Down!"  How you interpret this is up to you - you could use two brads, buttons, ribbons, papers...the possibilities are endless.  I decided to make TWO cards with TWO patterned papers...the same, but a bit different.  I also made these for last week's TCP Tuesday Inspiration Challenge using the following picture - I was inspired by the stars (paper) and the bright, fun colors which made me think of a kids' birthday party...hence, the birthday cards!

Thanks for popping by today - don't forget to stop by the other Chicks' blogs to see how they interpreted this week's theme!  See you next week - don't forget about the There She Goes Sneak Peeks next week....you'll be able to see them starting on Tuesday.  Have a great weekend!

Can You Feel The Love?

Morning everyone!  I hope you are all enjoying the week - we've been enjoying some amazing weather (knock on wood) here in Central AB and I sure hope it stays that way for a long time.  The family and I are off to visit my parents this weekend so I hope the weather stays nice for us there.

I am your hostess this week over at the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge and, like everywhere else, we want to see your cards showcasing Valentine's Day and/or love.  Pretty simple, right?  I had fun combining the CR84FN Color Challenge with a TCP Tuesday sketch and then I pulled out one of my NEW TCP stamps, "Feelin' Cupidy" to make this fun little number:

That's it for me today!  Enjoy the rest of the week - the weekend isn't far away.  :)

Love Is In The Air...

Hello again!  Are you surprised to see two posts from me in one day?  I'm almost as shocked as you are!  I have had a pretty busy week thus far so I decided to take a rest day from the gym and stayed home to play in my craft room.

So...it's February and that means Valentine's Day is right around the corner.  Do you do something special with your family for V-Day?  Or is it mostly for you and your significant other?  I must admit that over the years, between kids and work and other *stuff*, we haven't really made V-Day a couples day - it's been mostly a family affair.  Not sure what we're going to do this year... we'll see. :)

I haven't played with the gang over at Pals Paper Arts for a LONG time so when I saw their color challenge this morning, I JUMPED on it - you know me and a color challenge... I saw this sketch last week over at Clean&Simple Stamping and knew I *had* to use it ASAP.  It is a sketch that I will use over and over again:

Stamps: You and I (Verve)  Paper: Yours Truly (Echo Park), Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White  Ink: Versafine Onyx Black  Accessories: Tipsy Hearts die (Sizzix), buttons, Divine Twine (TCP), sewing machine, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today - enjoy your Thursday!

Color, Color and More Color!

Hey everyone!  I hope you've all been enjoying your week - the weather here has been absolutely GORGEOUS, I can't believe it is FEBRUARY!  This week at the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge, Leanne is our hostess-with-the-mostest and she has come up with a lovely color challenge for us...YAY!!!  Love me my color challenges:
So, I've been *trying* to embrace this whole CAS style - it is SOOOOO hard!  I just want to keep adding more and more and more!  I used last week's Mojo Monday sketch and also played along with the TCP Tuesday from last week - to use a TCP set that has hearts in it as well as one of their Cut-Ups dies with a heart:

Stamps: Ewe Complete Me (TCP)  Ink: Early Espresso  Paper: Love Me DSP (MME), Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Riding Hood Red, Sahara Sand  Accessories: Sunflower Rosette Cutups die (TCP), Swiss Dots EF, paper piercer, button, twine, dimensionals

OK everyone - can't wait to see what you create using Leanne's color combo!  Have fun. :)
