For my card, I combined one of the three borders from Pillow Talk with one of the fabulous sentiments from Words to Live By... the combo from Colour Q was the perfect inspiration:

4CCC-131 {Stitching}

Hey everyone! The 4 Crafty Chicks have a new challenge for you all up on our blog - Lori is our hostess-with-the-mostest this week and she wants to see some stitching on your projects.  it can be real or fake - you decide.

For my card, I used a sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch and the combo from Colour Q:

See that teeny-tiny little splotch of ink on the left side?  OH. MY. GOSH.  SO mad.  I was all finished and ready to take some pictures so I picked it up and must have had a bit of ink on my finger or nail.  ARGH!  SO frustrating but didn't have time to make a new one so you all get to see my "oops!"  :)

TAWS Sneak Peeks - Day One {KA-POW}

Hey everyone! Glad to see you back for another week of new release sneak peeks from The Alley Way Stamps! Today's sneak peek is a fun set for all the superheroes out there - takes me back to the old Batman series with Adam West... I know, I'm totally dating myself now! :)

This first set is called KA-POW! and it is SO MUCH fun...some really fun graphics and when you see them all, you'll know why I think of Batman.  :)  I decided to go with the big sentiment and some little explosion bubbles for my card:

I combined this week's RetroSketches (to use any of the sketches from the past year) and the Play Date Cafe combo:

CQC177 & Mojo Monday 281

Hey everyone! I'm back with a quick card for you today.  I figured since I still had the Colour Q colors out on my desk, I'd used them again since they are so pretty together.  I *almost* went with a Christmas card for these colors but decided on a thank you card instead.  The sketch is from Mojo Monday - love the circles!

The sentiment is yet ANOTHER one from my favorite TAWS set, All About YOU!  Have I convinced you yet that you MUST have this set?  I sure hope so.  :)

4CCC-130 {Twine} & CQC177 & RS51

Hellooooooo! How's everyone doing out there in Blogland?  I hope you are all having a fantastic week.  The boys and I have gone to visit my parents for a few days - thank goodness for Teachers' Convention days off.  :)  This week over at the 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge Tamie is our hostess extraordinaire and she wants you to use some TWINE on your card.  Simple, right?

Most of my cards have twine on them somewhere so this was an easy challenge for me - just a little bit in the buttons - isn't this birdie from TAWS Tiny Treasures just the cutest?

 I used this week's Colour Q and RetroSketches (the buttons are a bit "off" from the sketch...OOPS!):

{SSSC178} & {CQC176}

Hello everyone! How's everyone doing today?  I'm gearing up for the kids to have a short week at school - tomorrow is Family Day here in Alberta and then Thursday and Friday are Teachers' Convention days so we're going to be heading to my parents' house.  We haven't been there since way before Christmas so Josh has been counting the days for the last month - he loves his gran and gramps.  :)

So...it's Sunday and you know what that means, right?  Time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge - yippee!   Karen has created a sketch with a bazillion possibilities.  Really. Take a look:

So - make it CAS just like the sketch, turn it, flip it... you decide.  I decided to go somewhere in the middle with dry embossing and added some star die-cuts and a simple, little sentiment (all from The Cat's Pajamas):

4CCC-129 {Sketch}

Happy Valentine's Day, crafty chickadees!  I hope you are all having a fabulous week and taking some time to get a little inky.  It's my turn to be the hostess with the mostest over at the 4 Crafty Chicks and this week, I've created a CAS sketch for you all to play with:

I found a fun color combo over at Pals Paper Arts - it's been a long time since I've played along with their challenges and with this one being a color challenge, it was right up my alley!

I decided to stay CAS with my card and use coordinating patterned papers to jazz it up.  The sentiment is from one of the new sets from The Alley Way Stamps called All About YOU...awesome sentiments, my friends:
