For my card, I decided to use the new set, Bird Brain, along with the new Colour Q and this week's RetroSketches.  I found a fun, new way to do mirror-image stamping - with tissue paper! You can find the tutorial here if you want to check it out...

Sunday Morning TWO-fer - TAWS Sneak Peek and SSSC-183

Happy Sunday morning, everyone!  I hope the weather is as blissfully beautiful wherever you are as it is in central Alberta this weekend...GORGEOUS!  I have been so busy studying for my last exam that I only got my card done in the nick of time.  BUT, on the positive side, I'm done my course and passed with flying colors.  WHEW!  Thank goodness that it's done.  Now maybe life can get back to *normal*... whatever that is!

So today I've got a double-duty card for you all to peek at.  It is Day Two of Sneak Peeks over at The Alley Way Stamps and we've got a lovely, lacy set called Delicate Doilies.  It is perfect for the more *feminine* cards you might make.  There is a nice variety of sizes and shapes and I can see them as more than just doilies...maybe flowers or snowflakes, anyone?

It's also time for a brand new Sweet Sunday Sketch and this one is, again, perfect if you want to go CAS or fussy it up:

I chose to keep it fairly CAS but added some jewels for a bit of sparkle:

4CCC-139 {Felt} & CQC186 & Mojo290

Morning everyone! Can it really be the last Thursday in April? Seriously? Where did the month go?  This week over at the 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge, Lori has got a fun supply challenge for us to play with - FELT!  I LOVE using felt on my cards - it adds such great depth and texture.

For my card, I used some felt flowers from Stampin' Up! (from a LONG time ago) and whipped together this little card using this week's Mojo Monday sketch and the combo from Colour Q - how perfect is it that the inspiration photo is a birdhouse made of FELT???

RetroSketches #60 & Color Throwdown #238

So?  How'd your week go?  Mine went super-fast and I can't believe how much *stuff* one person can pack into a week.  Time to do the taxes and finish studying this weekend but first, a quick little baby card for you all using this week's RetroSketches and Color Throwdown.  I didn't have any Brilliant Blue paper left so I had to go with Pacific Point instead:

I was able to use FOUR - yes, you read that right - FOUR TAWS sets in this card: the onesie is from Tiny Treasures, the sentiment from Words To Live By and Tag-alongs and the arrow is from KA-POW!  I totally love how you can mix-and-match elements from so many sets and have a kick-ass card in the end.  :)

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend - this time next week I should be completely done with my class.  Now to decide what to do next...

4CCC-138 {Trees} & RS59

Hello! Thanks for popping in today - we've got a fun 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge for you all to play with this week.  Tamie is our hostess with the mostest and she must be wishing for spring as much as I am because the challenge theme this week is TREES!  Personally, I'm looking forward to green, leafy trees - so tired of the leafless (lifeless) trees of the winter time.

For my card, I had to make it quick so dug out an old Tim Holtz embossing folder and got to work.  I don't have many masculine birthday cards so I thought I'd make one of those using this week's RetroSketches and some neutral colors:

I find that I don't often make"man cards" so this was a nice change for me and this sentiment from the TAWS set "Wish BIG" is perfect for male or female cards.  I hope you will find some time to play along with the 4CCC - maybe you want to get started on your Christmas cards already... perhaps we'll see a Christmas tree or two for this challenge?

Good morning, good morning!!! I hope wherever you are the weather is better than it is here. UGH! Just when we thought Mother Nature was done with snow, she pulls a fast one on us and DUMPS on us!  It's been snowing since early yesterday morning and I *hope* it stops soon. I guess I'll just have another excuse to stay inside and not do anything... ;)

Morning, peeps! It's time for another BE Inspired Challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps and this week Alison has given us a fun inspiration picture (which would also work for this week's 4CCC...just sayin'):

I wanted to go with the fruit theme for my card but quickly realized I don't have any TAWS stamps that fit that theme.  So...wait for it...wait for it... I went with the colors in the photo.  *GASP*  I know.  You're shocked, right?  BAHAHAHAHA!  I decided to go with Pool Party, Island Indigo and Pumpkin Pie and found some DSP that fit perfectly and used a sentiment from Wish BIG:
