4CCC-105 {Crazy Egg - Back to School}

Welcome again!!! Can you believe it's the last day of August?  The summer just zipped by!  It's also the fifth Thursday of the month which means it's our Crazy Egg Challenge over at the 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge.  This week's challenge is a theme, "Back to School."  I think it's a theme you can really interpret many different ways so have fun and be creative.

I decided to go a bit more figuratively with the back-to-school theme.  For me, back-to-school and this time of year has always been about "new" ... new clothes, new grade, new school, new friends, new activities...  As I've gotten older, it still holds that same feeling for me but the meaning has changed a bit.  This year, I've been really focusing on making goals and have really felt a shift in my overall well-being.  It was around this time last year that my trainer encouraged me to think about goals for the next year.  As I look back on those goals, I am so thrilled at how far I've come in such a short time.  Now it's time to start thinking about what I hope to accomplish in the next year... a Spartan Race?  A Tough Mudder?  Deadlift & Squat 315 lbs?  Bench Press over 200lbs?  Maybe.... :) So my card this week is about setting goals and dreaming new dreams...

And, again this month, I *just* squeak in at the last minute with Jen's Sketch for You to Try for August:

Thanks for listening to me ramble - how many of you regularly make goals and put forth the work to make them happen?  I'd love to hear your success stories.  Enjoy your last long weekend of the summer - we'll be heading south to visit my parents and celebrate Josh's birthday...15 years old already!!!  ACK!!  They grow up too fast...

Later, gators!

Happy Sweet Sunday, everyone!!!  This is going to be a short and sweet post...time in the craft/computer room has been very limited lately.  Who's ready for a new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge?  Karen has created a super-fun sketch for us all this week:

After all the ruckus I created for turning the last sketch upside down, I figured I'd better just leave it alone this time around... :)

I thought this color combo from Arielle and the girls over at ColourQ was so bright and cheery that I had to use it for my card:

All of the fabulous Sweet Sunday Stampers have inspiration for you, so please stop on by and say hello to:

Sarah-Jane Kalé (she's taking a break this week but stop by and say hi anyways!)

4CCC-104 {Sketch}

Welcome back for another 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge!! I *think* I scheduled it right this week.... :)   This week's hostess-with-the-mostest is Lori and she has come up with a fun sketch for us all to play with:

A fun sketch that can be made fussy or CAS - PLEASE don't feel like you have to use flowers and butterflies for the little groupings!!!!!!  Be creative and use your imagination to come up with something original!!!

I decided to go fairly CAS with my card and used the Colour Q combo from last week:

I hope you will join us this week - if you need some more inspiration, don't forget to visit the other Chicks' blogs - they won't disappoint.  :)  See you on Sunday for a new Sweet Sunday Sketch!

4CCC-103 {Circles}

**Hey everyone!! Sorry I'm late with this post - I had it scheduled for NEXT week! DUH! Working full-time for a week made my brain mush!!! **

Welcome back for another fun-filled challenge from the 4 Crafty Chicks!  This week, Tamie is our hostess with the mostest and she wants to see some CIRCLES!!!  Big circles, little circles...anything circular will do.

I used some pearls, my Swiss Dots embossing folder as well as a button and some polka dot paper to fulfill my "circles" obligation...  This week's Sweet Sunday Sketch and the CR84FN Color Challenge also came in handy...

It's really hard to tell in this picture but the butterfly is a really deep purple...promise. :)

Thanks for stopping by - make sure to check out the other Chicks' blogs to see what they did with circles.  Enjoy your week!

Hello again everyone! I hope you're enjoying the weekend - hard to believe we are almost halfway through August already....which means back to school is right around the corner! Not sure I'm ready for that - I'm sure the kids are even LESS ready than me.  :)

So we've got a fun sketch for the next two weeks over at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge - quite a few  little bits that leave lots of room to make it your own and be creative.  I decided to flip the sketch upside down - that doesn't surprise anyone, right?  ;)

I was able to play along with Arielle's Colour Q this week - don't have any of the new SU! colors so had to make do with what I had...

All of the fabulous Sweet Sunday Stampers have inspiration for you, so please stop on by and say hello to:

...and our fabulous Guest Stamper, Amy White!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope your week is  a good one - later alligators!

4CC102 {Up, Up and Away}

Welcome back! Can you believe summer is half over already???  July just flew by and now we're into the second week of August...crazy!!  Over at the 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge this week, I am your hostess extraordinaire and I've got a theme for you to play with - "Up, Up and Away."  I want to see your cards with things that fly...birds, bugs, airplanes, kites, balloons...the possibilities are endless so have some fun with this one.

I immediately went to my stash of Cat's Pajamas stamps and found the PERFECT set...aptly titled, "Up, Up and Away."  I played around with a funky Colour Q combination and combined it with Jen's July Sketch For You to Try...

I love this little penguin-dude.  :)  Makes me smile every time.  I hope you will find some time to play along with us this week...should be fun going to all your blogs to see what you've created for us!  Enjoy your week!

4CCC-101 {Distressing}

Hey there, everyone! It's Thursday and that means a brand new challenge over at the 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge.  This week, Leanne is the hostess-with-the-mostest and she wants to see some projects that are in distress.  No, not a project that's sending out an SOS - we want to see some distressing on your project.  You could ink the edges, distress the paper, use distress ink... it's up to you.

For my card, I used a lovely color combination from the CR84FN Color Challenge as well as a fantastic Mojo Monday sketch I will be using again...perfect for those leftover bits of paper we all have in our craft rooms:

I never seem to have any birthday cards when I need them so I figured I'd use a lovely sentiment from Verve on this one.  Thanks for stopping by - make sure to stop and see the rest of the Chicks 'cause I know they'd love to see you. :)
