Hey everyone! It's time for a brand new Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge and this week's theme is "Girly Girl" hosted by Sherri!  So dig out all of your girly-girl KK Stamps and get busy this long weekend.  We are supposed to get rain most of the weekend (should have guessed) so I will be playing in my craft room - join me!!!

For my card, I used one of my favorites - an older Moonlight Whispers image - Alicia the Strawberry Pirate.  AND...if you love her as much as I do and NEED to have her come live at your house, she JUST happens to be on SALE this weekend as part of the Frugal Friday Sale at KKS!!!  There are some other ADORABLE images on sale - why stop at just one?

For my card, I combined this week's Color Throwdown combo with last week's Deconstructed Sketch - I love how it turned out!!!

Isn't she adorable!???

OK, everyone - enjoy your long weekend!  Don't forget to come back on Thursday for the first day of Sneak Peeks for the brand new KK release!  You're gonna love all of these new sets  - I promise!!  See you soon!

Kraftin' Kimmie Guest Designer & CQC241 & SSSC219

Good morning, everyone!  Remember WAYYYYYY back in January/February when I was in the running for a Guest Designer spot over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps?  Well, I was lucky enough to win one of the spots for the month of May and this is my FIRST post!!!  :)  The upcoming new release is amazing - I know you're going to love it...but for now, you get to see a card using one of the older sets, Perfect Poison.

It is also the time of the week for a brand new Colour Q challenge and this week's combo sure had me scratching my head...metallics are not a usual "go-to" color for me:

I also used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch but made mine a square instead of the rectangular size in order to fit the image:

I hope you will play along with us over at the Colour Q Challenge as well as the Kraftin' Kimmie Anything Goes challenge!  We'd love to see your creations!  I will be back on Saturday with another Kraftin' Kimmie post - see you then!

I Love You ... {CQC227} & {RS100} and Another Krafty Guest Submission

Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping in today - I have a sweet little card to share with you today for a couple of challenges.  The first one, since it IS Tuesday, is for the brand new Colour Q challenge.  Arielle has chosen some more colors that, together, work perfectly for those Valentine's Day cards you might be making.  Take a peek:

The second challenge is for Retrosketches 100TH sketch!  Holy smokes!  That's almost two years of awesome and amazing sketches from Arielle and the girls.  Thanks to all of you for some fantastic inspiration!  Here's #100:

And, since I've got one more day to submit cards for the Krafty Guest Contest over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, I figured I might as well make one more.  This card uses one of the images from the Josephine stamp set - but, again, I can't find it in the KK store.  :(  All of my faves seem to be retired?  At any rate, it worked perfectly for these colors and sketch:

Thank you for stopping by today - I hope you enjoy your day wherever you are!  See you on Saturday for my second week as Guest Designer for Just Us Girls!

It's a SUPER-AWESOME Saturday!!!

Hi everyone! I am so excited today! I have TWO very important reasons for this Saturday post and I am thrilled to be able to share them with you.  :)

First of all - the amazing group of ladies over at the Just Us Girls Challenge have asked yours truly to join them as a Guest Designer for the whole month of February!  I was so excited I nearly squealed when I got the email - of course I said YES!!!  So thank you to Vicki and all the girls!  The first challenge this month is a SKETCH challenge - take a peek:

And the SECOND piece of awesomenosity?  Remember back at the beginning of January when I submitted this card to the Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Guest Contest???  Well, yours truly made the top ten!!!  SO, now the challenge is to make another card (or two...) using this round's theme, "Kim Loves Pink!"  I must say that I also enjoy pink so didn't really have a hard time with this challenge - the hard part was trying to pick which KK stamp I was going to use!!!  I finally decided on Goldilocks which, I just discovered, is NOT even available in the KK store anymore!!  I hope that's OK and doesn't disqualify me?  At any rate, some pink and green paper set the tone for the rest of the card, I added some Rose Red seam binding, a button, some teeny-tiny pearls on her skirt et voila:

Thanks for stopping in today - things around here are slowly finding their way back to normal after me being away in Disneyland.  I will be back on Tuesday with another Colour Q combination and *maybe* one more submission for this Krafty Guest contest...stay tuned!  Enjoy the weekend!

Did Someone Say Krafty Guest...? {Colour Q #223 & RS #96}

Hello everyone!!! WOW...it has been a week since I posted last and, I must say, I am quite enjoying only *having* to make a card once a week!  If course, I will likely make more than that some weeks but this week was super-busy and I just didn't have time to sit down and craft.  It will likely be much of the same this week and next as I prepare to go to Disneyland with a friend to run the Tinkerbell Half Marathon, the 10K and a 5K all in the same weekend.  Yep, we're certifiable!!!  We actually will probably be walking most of it since she tore her MCL back in August and it still hasn't healed enough to run but we're going to get those medals, darn-it-all!!!

In the meantime, I've got a fun card to share with you today...with a COLORED image!!!  It has been EONS since I colored an image and this never-before-inked Kraftin' Kimmie image was the perfect one to get me back in the groove.  The colors are from the new Colour Q combo...Little Red Riding Hood, anyone?

The sketch is this week's RetroSketches:

I even decorated the inside, something I don't normally do but wanted to add a bit more to make the "Oops!" on the front make sense:

Now, since this is a new year, we should all try to do things that make us a bit uncomfortable so here it goes...I am also going to submit this card for the Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Guest Contest!!!  Why does this make me uncomfortable, you ask?  Quite honestly, the Krafty Girls are soooooo UBER talented - how could that not make ANYONE uncomfortable?  I would LOVE to be a Krafty Guest for a month!  The challenge is to make a card using a KK image and some sparkle - I didn't use very much sparkle but the sequins on the buttons and then on the inside do the trick, don't you think?

Okie dokie, ladies and gents...that's it for me!  I will be back next week for one more card before I'm off to California!  See you then!

Oh, How I LOVE Kraftin' Kimmie...

I absolutely ADORE the Moonlight Whispers stamps.  Annie Rodrigue is a freakin' GENIUS and so is Kimmie for turning the art into stamps!  I recently acquired the Batty Princess stamp and knew I HAD to use it for this week's Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge to make a "spooky" card.  Perfect.  And to kill two birds with one stone, it's a spooky card challenge over at Stampin' Royalty too!

I knew I'd likely have to make a square card because the image is almost too big for a regular card so I was THRILLED when I found Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch - it is a square AND the main image panel is rather large.  Unfortunately, the image is *still* a bit too big so I had to improvise and have it hang over the edge a bit:

Recipe - Stamps: Batty Princess (Kraftin' Kimmie)  Ink: Onyx Black Versafine  Paper: Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, polka dot paper (Daisy D's), black bat paper (Cosmo Cricket)  Accessories: Black satin ribbon, paper piercer, Spiral Edge punch, Modern Label punch, twine, Copics, dimensionals, Scor-Tape

I wish I had a better camera because I don't think this picture really does the card justice - the colors are so much more vivid in real life.  I had a TON of fun coloring this girl... and she has wings so I have accomplished the City Crafter Challenge Blog to create a card that has wings on it.

That's it for me tonight - don't forget to check back tomorrow morning for a new 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge!  Later peeps!

PPC #33 and TWO Celebrations!!!

Oh MY GOODNESS!!!  This week's Picture Perfect Creations Color Combo screams "fun" and I immediately knew I wanted to ink up one of my Kraftin' Kimmie's that has never seen ink...(I'm sure none of you have stamps like that, right?  *wink*)

So, imagine my surprise when I clicked over to the Kraftin' Kimmie blog and discovered that they are CELEBRATING their one year ANNIVERSARY with a fun blog hop and this week's challenge is to create a "celebration" card!  How fun!  So, alright...I've got the colors, the theme, the stamp...all that's missing is the sketch.  So, off I went to the Just Us Girls challenge blog and, lo and behold, they TOO are celebrating their one year anniversary!   Both blogs even have prizes to make the party more fun so if you have time, make sure you stop by to play along.  Anyhoo...the JUGS girls have a sketch for us this week:

Once I got started, I realized that my image was a bit too big to make a regular size card so I went with a 5-1/4" square instead:

Stamps: Goldilocks (Kraftin' Kimmie)  Ink: Garden Green  Paper: Whisper White, Night of Navy, various SU! DSP  Accessories: Sewing machine, Copics, Optic Dot border punch, adhesive pearls, So Saffron striped ribbon, Twizzle embossing folder, button, hemp twine, Lots of Tags Label One Sizzlit, dimensionals

I figured that the sentiment was pretty versatile and could celebrate many different occasions - a birthday, an anniversary, friendship or even a get well soon or thinking of you...  Isn't she adorable?

I hope you will play along with us over at Picture Perfect Creations - we always love to see how you interpret the colors and make them your own.  :)  If you have time, check out the other PPC Creators' blogs to see what they made using these colors.

Enjoy your Monday - see you again soon!
