Hey Girlfriend - Curtain Call Style!
Welcome, welcome!
As you're reading this, I am enjoying my last day of fun in the mountains of Jasper - friends and crafting without KIDS, what could be better? I'm sure you'll hear all about it when I get back but until then, we've got "bidness" to get down to!
Stacey's inspiration picture at The Curtain Call this week made me want to host a party - doesn't this table look like FUN!??
I paired it with another fabulous sketch from Sketch Saturday:
Inked up another one of the new release Bugaboo stamps from Totally Stampalicious and made this fun card:
You should see the other sentiments in this set...they are hilarious! I laughed out loud when I first saw them.
Make sure to stop by and see what the rest of the Curtain Call crew have done with these colors:

I hope you will take some time to play with us - we love to see what you all come up with. :) See you tomorrow for the new PPC and Shabby Tea Room challenges!

Back With The Color Throwdown & Sketch Saturday
Hello again!
Supper's history and I was able to get one more card done! WOOHOO! This time I combined The Color Throwdown's super-duper combination with Sketch Saturday's always-challenging sketch:
Recipe - Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Vintage Labels (SU!) Ink: Old Olive, Baja Breeze Paper: Baja Breeze, Old Olive, So Saffron, SU! DSP, Whisper White Accessories: Old Olive twill ribbon, buttons, adhesive pearls, Beautiful Wings embosslit, hodgepodge hardware, Argyle embossing folder
OK - I'll make this short to see if I can get one more card done tonight... if not, I'll see you here in the morning for a brand new Curtain Call!

Tuesday - Thinking of You...
I found this sketch over at Sketch Saturday and wasn't sure if I was going to have the time to tackle it this week - it's a busy one - but found a a few minutes this afternoon to play around with it.
I combined it with Megan's Picture Perfect Creations Color Combo #6 - don't forget about her search for design team members - only a few days left before the deadline!
When I first saw these colors, I thought either masculine or sympathy - and I decided to go with a sympathy/thinking of you:
The stamps are all from Verve & the rest of the supplies are Stampin' Up with the exception of the embossing folders, Nestabilities, and adhesive pearls.
Not sure what I'm going to do tonight - maybe another card? Maybe just chillin' out on the couch watching TV...we shall see. Tomorrow's a full day - work in the AM and then FINALLY a much-needed haircut and color! Lori and I have the same hairdresser so we always make appointments together and make an event of it...I'm sure we'll hit the scrapbook store at *some* point... ;)
Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - see you in a couple days. Only 13 more sleeps until I leave for Europe! ACK! I've got so much to do... *sigh*

Home Sweet Home
Happy Hump Day everyone!
I was out and about this morning but was able to get supper in the crockpot before I left so that I could *focus* on crafting the entire afternoon away! I wish I was more organized to be able to do that every day ~ normally 4:00 rolls around and I panic trying to figure out what the family will eat in order to avoid starvation. ;)
When I got home, I sat down to work on The Color Throwdown's color challenge combined with Sketch Saturday's sketch:
How's those colors for ya? I haven't pulled out Marigold Morning for a L-O-N-G time...I think it works beautifully with the other colors. I'm starting to run out of the "In Colors" cardstock ~ guess it's time to order more. :)
I bought this stamp set a couple weeks ago in my LSS's clearance area - "Tiny Trinity" by Unity Stamp Company - for less than five bucks! There are a couple other trees, a flourishy frame, and another sentiment in the set. Not exactly sure how often I will *use* this sentiment but I sure liked it. :)
Okie dokie - I'm off to do some more. I really want to try to make a card with one of those fabulous scallo punch flowers I'm seeing everywhere...anyone know where I can find an easy tutorial? I'll start at Splitcoast...
OH - don't forget to stop over at The Shabby Tea Room to check out my newest design team home. Our inaugural challenge will launch on Monday so be sure to add it to your favorites or, better yet, become a follower! We hope to have MANY of you join us next week. :)

Friends
I'm back with card #2 - then I guess I'd better think about supper and maybe do some laundry or housework??? I told you earlier that I was going to use Sketch Saturday's sketch today so here it is (another square card):
It has been A LONG time since I've been over to Julia's Little Paper Shop Challenge blog and was very pleased to find a color challenge waiting for me:
LOVE IT! I found a LPS set that had never seen ink and got to work - - - this was FUN!
Recipe - Stamps: Forest Critters (Little Paper Shop), unknown sentiment Paper: Various SU! DP, Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Kraft, Very Vanilla Ink: Chocolate Chip, Onyx Black Versafine Ink Accessories: Argyle embossing folder, Copics, sponge daubers, Nestabilities, paper piercer, tage punches, felyt ribbon, button, twine, pop-ups
I was able to use Crafty Creations' Challenge from this week which was to "CUT it OUT and POP it UP." The sentiment tag and the owl are both popped up and I paper pieced the tree.
Well, that'll be it for me for this afternoon. I will be hunkering down in front of the TV pretty soon to watch Kevin Martin go for curling gold - GO CANADA! We'll see what I have time for this evening - have a great night everyone!

It's Gonna Be a BUSY Day
It seems like Wednesday is the busiest day for the new week's challenges to be posted so if I don't get stated right away, I tend to *not* get them done at all.
There were four color challenges posted this morning so I *had* to find some sketches for each of them. The first color challenge I decided to tackle was from Stampin' Royalty - what a combination. People must be getting tired of winter because a lot of the color challenges lately have been using some bright combinations and this is no exception:
My craftin' peep, Lori, used this sketch from Sketch Saturday to make a very lovely card so I thought I'd give 'er a whirl too:
There have also been a lot of square cards... I made mine 5" x 5".
Recipe - Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Small Sayings Paper: Whisper White, Only Orange, Summer Sun, Green Galore, Pixie Pink, unknown DP Ink: Summer Sun, Pixie Pink Accessories: Nestabilities, paper piercer, paper flowers, brads, modern label punch, ribbon sliders, ribbon, Swiss Dots EF, Victoria EF
Thanks for stopping by - please check back in a bit for the next installment of my Hump Day Crafting Marathon!
