Are you ready to play with us again in The Shabby Tea Room? I am the hostess for this week's Theme Challenge: "Summer Fun." We want to see YOUR interpretation of this theme... will the colors of summer inspire you or will the summer activities you and your family enjoy be your inspiration? I can't wait to see what you all create. :)
Here in Alberta, we've been "enjoying" rain, rain and more rain so summer fun has been the last thing on my mind lately! But, not one to let a bit of rain get in my way of creating a fun summer card, I sat down to create this adorable card with (yet) another new Pure Innocence girlie...isn't she the CUTEST??
Debbie very graciously sent us all some of her fabulous vintage seam binding to play with - what great stuff it is - I used Oatmeal Cream. If you are interested in purchasing some of this beautiful embellishment, please visit her Etsy store: Simple Treasures. This week's winner will WIN some of this fabulousness so make sure to play with us!
I also used this week's sketch from the OCC Sketch Blog:
Make sure you stop by and see what the rest of the design team created:

Great card! Love the image and those papers! :)
Absolutely precious! You and I were on the same 'wave length' when we came up with our designs for Fun in the Sun this week!!!!!
This card is so darn cute, Melissa! You did a great job with that sketch, and the beach girl image is adorable. Lovely coloring, paper-piecing job on that, and I really like the papers you used.
