Another Color Dare Wednesday

Morning everyone! You'll have to excuse my frantic post this morning - I forgot to come back and finish it after I uploaded the pics so when I woke up this morning I PANICKED!  I have a few minutes now before the kids get up for school, so here I am!

This week's color combo over at the Color Dare is Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Very Vanilla.  I decided to use the Unscripted Sketches newest sketch as well as the Paper Players' challenge to make a Valentine's card:

OH - I also decorated a coordinating envelope for this week's challenge at Just Us Girls.  :)

I will try to come back later to post the deets on my card - time to get the monsters up!  Later gators!

A Monday "For Fun" Card

Hi again, everyone!  I am staying warm and cozy inside today - the snow and wind and cold don't seem to want to stop and the kids have a Snow Day so I figured what better to do than make a card???  I know you're all in agreement, right?

So, I've been looking at the Color Throwdown's combo since I caught the sneak peek last week on Facebook but just haven't had the chance to use it...until now...  :)
I'm sure glad I didn't throw away all my *old* colors.  I've also had Jen's Sketch For You To Try sitting on my desktop since she posted it but really wanted to be able to use my Cat's Pajamas stamps and *that* opportunity didn't present itself... until now.  I also want to say how much I LOVE that Jen has gone to a monthly sketch because it gives me more time to play along.

Stamps: Birthday Bunny (TCP)  Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Always Artichoke, Baja Breeze, Cameo Coral  Paper: Whisper White, Always Artichoke, SU! DSP  Accessories: Seeing Spots embossing folder, paper piercer, twine, button, Modern Label punch, Labels Four Nestabilities, sponge dauber, Copics

Here's a pic of the Copics I used - the ones you can't read are BG93 and R22:

And, like my card earlier this morning, Stampin' Royalty is having a birthday so their theme is birthday cards and this one fits the bill perfectly.  :)  Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your Monday!

Happy Monday, everyone!  Wow - have we ever got a LOT of snow this weekend...I stayed home all warm and toasty but my DH wasn't so lucky.  He *had* to go out but getting *out* wasn't the problem... it was trying to get back IN after MORE snow and wind made some pretty horrendous drifts on our LONG country driveway.  He ended up getting stuck on his way back in - no WAY would I even be attempting to go anywhere!  LOL  It gave me the perfect excuse to stay inside and CRAFT!

This week Megan has given us an interesting combination over at the Picture Perfect Creations Color Challenge - what do you think?

I started out following Tracy's sketch over at Eat, Sleep, Stamp *to-the-letter* but as it evolved, it didn't end up *exactly* like the sketch - my white panel is not centered, my image isn't centered and I rotated it 180 degrees:

The girlies over at Stampin' Royalty are celebrating their first birthday this week (has it really been a year already?) so they have asked us to make a birthday card so that's exactly what I did:

Stamps: Upsy Daisy (SU!)  Ink: Perfect Plum, Bravo Burgundy  Paper: Perfect Plum, Bravo Burgundy, Whisper White, Wild Wasabi  Accessories: Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Square Lattice embossing folder, River Rock grosgrain ribbon, twine, scallop oval punch, oval punch

Thanks for stopping by today - I hope the weather is better than ours wherever you are.  If you're snowed in, look on the bright side...it's PERFECT for crafting.  :)  We'd love to have you join us over at PPC.

Enjoy your week!

Sentimental Sundays & Colour Q Two-'fer

Welcome back!  I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  We've got a fun challenge this week over at Sentimental Sundays - "Wings" - so you can use anything that has wings on your card.  It might be birds, angels, fairies, airplanes... there are many possibilities but just remember to use a sentiment somewhere on your card.  :)

I decided to combine the SS challenge with Arielle's Colour Q combination - I LOVE this combo, don't you?

I haven't played with Julee's Mojo Monday in awhile so I decided to see what I could come up with this week:

I have to admit that the Daffodil Delight gave me a bit of trouble - I didn't realize how *bright* it was until I put it beside the So Saffron.  I feel like I kind of wimped out because I only used the Daffodil for the butterfly but that's the best I could do.  :)

Stamps: Beautiful Kindness, Thoughtful Accents (Verve)  Ink: Versafine Onyx Black  Paper: Basic Black, Soft Sky, Whisper White, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, SU! DSP  Accessories: Clear embossing powder, heat gun, black satin ribbon, adhesive pearls, hat pin and beads (Pretties Kit), Nesties, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, paper piercer, Beautiful Wings embosslit

Thanks for stopping by this fine Sunday - enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you back here tomorrow morning for a brand new Picture Perfect Creations Color Challenge!

Traveling WIth the 4 Crafty Chicks

Welcome back everyone!  I'm so glad you had a few minutes to stop by and take a peek at this week's 4 Crafty Chicks challenge.  Our hostess with the mostest this week is Leanne and she is asking us to make a project with a travel theme.

I must admit that I don't own many stamps that would help me out with this challenge.  I know there are many ways to interpret this theme but I had a hard time figuring out where to begin.  I thought I might as well start with the paper since I didn't have a color challenge to use and found a wonderful paper pack (Joy Ride by Cosmo Cricket) in my stash that had never been opened...do I hear a collective *gasp* from the peanut gallery???  :)  It was absolutely PERFECT for this theme.

I knew I had a few travel-themed rub-ons and embellishments *somewhere* that I bought a few years ago...I just had to find them.  Fortunately, I found them quite easily and set off in search of a sketch.  Peggy and the gals over at Paperworks Co. have a fun one this week:
How's this for a card with NO INK and NO STAMPING?

Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Sage Shadow, Joy Ride DSP (Cosmo Cricket)  Accessories: Paper piercer, Nestabilities, Tangerine Tango striped grosgrain ribbon, twine, metal suitcase charm, rub-on (sentiment), Square Lattice embossing folder, Seeing Spots embossing folder

Thanks for stopping by today - please pop over to check out the rest of the Chicks' creations and leave them some love.  We'd love to have you join us this week and remember that you don't *have* to make a card.  You could do a scrapbook page, an altered item ... the possibilities are endless.  :)  Have fun!

Color Dare #91

Hello, hello, hello!  Here we are at Wednesday which means it's time for a brand new Color Dare!  This week's combination is Pear Pizzazz, Tempting Turquoise, and Tangerine Tango.  I made my card before Christmas in an attempt to get ahead a bit and these colors were a fun departure from the "Christmas-y" colors in abundance this time of year.  :)

I was able to use a sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges:

And voila!  I have been trying to find an occasion to use this stamp for awhile and thought it would work perfectly for this sketch:

Stamps: Attitude sentiment (Clear & Simple Stamps)  Ink: Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise  Paper: Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, SU! DSP  Accessories: Square punches, sponge dauber, Twizzle embossing folder, Nestabilities, Tangerine Tango grosgrain ribbon, buttons, silver cord

I hope you will have a few minutes this week to play along with us - we love to stop and see what you create. :)  See you tomorrow for a brand new 4 Crafty Chicks challenge!

PPC #44 Meets Sweet Sunday!

Happy New Year, everyone!  Can you believe it is 2011 already?  It seems like just yesterday when all we heard about was "Y2K"... *sigh*  I must be getting old...  :)

This week's combo from Megan over at Picture Perfect Creations is a fun one that screamed BOY to me:

I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch as well as the Crafty Hos' Challenge to make a baby card and voila:

Stamps: Nursery Necessities (SU!)  Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, VersaMark  Paper: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, SU! DSP  Accessories: Clear embossing powder, heat gun, Waves die (TCP), Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, MS border punch, Turquoise grosgrain ribbon, Nestabilities (Large Circles and Scallop Circles)

Thanks for stopping by today - I hope you all have a great first week of 2011!  If you have time, stop by the rest of the PPC Creators and see what they created.  See y'all on Wednesday!
