So, it's time again for a KWerner Design Challenge and, let me tell you, I was afraid ~~ VERY afraid. Here it is:

I'll be honest. . . my VERY first thought was, "OH MY GOSH! Is she serious??" Then I looked at the inspiration picture and I, too, was drawn to the color combination. But HOW I was going to make them work in a card I had no idea. I looked through my DP and realized I had nuthin'. I figured the only way I was going to make them work was to make my OWN background:
I got to use my new Martha border punch again - I think I will be buying more border punches in the near future. I LOVE THEM! I cut random strips of the challenge colors and then glued them to the WW layer. I went through my stamp cupboard and found the retired set "Flaky Friends" and thought they'd be perfect for this color challenge - fun and fresh. I used my funky spiral punch to edge the top of the eggplant layer and added some ribbon.
I think it turned out pretty nicely - plain, but I think with the intensity of all the colors, it kind of had to be.
Thanks for looking - I hope the rest of your week is filled with inspiration!
