Curtain Call - Act #21

It's that time again!  Another fabulous color combo from Stacey over at the Curtain Call Color Challenge:

For some reason, these colors spoke "sympathy" to me - very calm and soothing...  I always seem to have a hard time making sympathy cards and it's nice to have one or two on hand because, let's face it, we never know when we might need one.

I found a sketch from a few weeks ago over at Melissa Craig's Tuesday Morning Sketches that I thought would be perfect for a sympathy card ~ not too many layers needed here...

I picked a Verve sentiment that I had never used ~ one of their Plain Jane's, I believe ~ and quickly put this card together:

Recipe - Stamp: Comfort (Verve)   Paper: To the Nines SP, Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Always Artichoke, Whisper White  Ink: Always Artichoke  Accessories: Nestabilities, paper piercer, sponge dauber, Barely Banana grosgrain ribbon, Textile embossing folder, brads, scallop edge punch

No bow, no buttons, no pearls... are you all shocked?  I like how this card turned out - even with all the things *missing*.  :)

Now, you've seen my creation - be sure to stop in and check out what the rest of the Curtain Call Crew has done - they always amaze and inspire me:

Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your day!

Definitely not a "plain Jane." Your sponging is so subtle and PERFECT! I am horrible at this technique!
