Could the Day Get Any Better???

Well, apparently it can!  Just after I finished posting about all of my excitement earlier tonight, Lori called me to see if I had been over to the Verve blog?  Umm...nope... I've been busy craftin'.  Well, she said, you should check it out because we BOTH won $25 gift certificates!  WHAT???  HOLY COW!  I'm sure the neighbours heard my squeals of excitement!  You all know how much I {heart} Julee's stamps - I could never run out of ways to use them.  A huge thanks to Julee and her team of extremely talented ladies over at Verve - you manage to outdo yourselves every release!

So, after I hung up and calmed down a bit, I finished the card I had been working on.  I managed to combine Megan's Picture Perfect Creations Color Challengewith Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch:

 I had to use my brain a little more than usual for this one - not too sure why 'cause I love the colors and the sketch...???  Nonetheless, I finished:

I know the ribbon isn't in the sketch but I just got it and it was *whispering* to me...  ;)  I'm lovin' all the satin ribbon SU! has in the mini.  The stamps are from Verve's "Love's Flower" set and the rest is pretty self-explanatory.  Black paper doesn't always photograph too well so it's kind of hard to see the embossing - the entire black layer is embossed with the "Textile"' folder.
