Challenge #15 at PPC!
Morning everyone!
I am home from a fabulous weekend but I am feeling a lot under the weather so this will be a short and sweet post.
This is the combination Megan has given us this week:
I paired it with this sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches:
And this is the result:
Thanks for stopping by - enjoy the rest of your Monday!
"Dear to My Heart" at The Shabby Tea Room
What a fun week this will be at The Shabby Tea Room! Not only did Audrey pick a super fun theme, Just Rite Stampers is our sponsor in the Tea Room this week! I have admired their stamps for a LONG time and now I have some to play with...how much fun is that?
Audrey decided that it was time to pay homage to hearts and, thus, the theme "Dear to My Heart." She is challenging us to use a heart as our main focal point. Sounds easy enough, right??? That's what I thought too... Turns out it wasn't so simple.
I went through my DP for some inspiration and found my Basic Grey Kioshi paper that I thought would be fun to use again. I glittered up some of my grungeboard hearts, found a Papertake Weekly sketch and...
Recipe - Stamps: Girl Time 2" Stamper (Just Rite Stampers)
Paper: Perfect Plum, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Basic Grey Kioshi
Ink: Perfect Plum
Accessories: Paper piercer, grungeboard, glitter, Mod Podge, Nestabilities, ric-rac, Leafy Branch embossing folder
As you can see, my hearts are NOT my focal point. I originally had the hearts where the sentiment is but realized a little too late that I was going to have to switch them around...whatever! I think the green glitter is a bit dark in the picture but it isn't that dark IRL.
I hope you'll take some time to play with us - you could be our Shabby Tea Room winner of a $25 Gift Certificate from Just Rite Stampers!!! Make sure you stop and check out what the rest of the DT did with hearts:

Hey Girlfriend - Curtain Call Style!
Welcome, welcome!
As you're reading this, I am enjoying my last day of fun in the mountains of Jasper - friends and crafting without KIDS, what could be better? I'm sure you'll hear all about it when I get back but until then, we've got "bidness" to get down to!
Stacey's inspiration picture at The Curtain Call this week made me want to host a party - doesn't this table look like FUN!??
I paired it with another fabulous sketch from Sketch Saturday:
Inked up another one of the new release Bugaboo stamps from Totally Stampalicious and made this fun card:
You should see the other sentiments in this set...they are hilarious! I laughed out loud when I first saw them.

Paperworks Co. Blog Hop Extravaganza!
So, what have I made for you? Well, I used the VERY cute Peppy Tinheart - can you believe this is the first time she's seen ink??? *gasp* I used Melissa Craig's Tuesday Morning Sketch to help inspire a layout although I did make some minor alterations. :) I'm sure no one is surprised by that... *wink*
Here's the cutie patootie:
Recipe - Stamps: Peppy Tinheart & Rocko Tinheart (sentiment) ~ PWCO
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Paper: Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, DP (SU! retired)
Accessories: Paper piercer, clear embossing powder, Copics, grosgrain ribbon, button, hemp twine, adhesive pearls, circle punch, dimensionals
I had so much fun working with these stamps! I *shouldn't* order any more but I have a feeling that may not be enough to convince me...

Here's a Monday Quickie...
Hey everyone!
I hope you are enjoying Monday wherever you are - it is sunny and breezy here but I'm not complaining! At least it's not snowing... :)
I had a few minutes to play before getting supper ready so I thought I'd sit down and finish the card I started the other night. I actually only glittered the letters the other night and finished the rest today.
I used Dawn's wonderful color combo over at Color Cue:
And OCC's sketch (rotated, of course...):
For this (to me) CAS card:
Thanks for stopping by - I'm counting down the days to my weekend Jasper retreat... I get to meet Joycelyn and Becky of Totally Stampalicious fame! Can we say EXCITED? I have a few DT cards to get done before I leave so I may be scarce this week but I'll do my best to pop back in at least once. See you soon!
Masculine??
Howdy, peeps!
Wow...this was a tough one. Are you ready for it? The colors Megan picked over at Picture Perfect Creations were challenging enough:
And then I decided to combine them with Totally Stampalicious's challenge to make a masculine card... with Cameo Coral?? I don't think so! But, not one to give up a good challenge, I set to work. First I had to decide which one of my TS sets was "masculine" enough - I realized most of my stamps DEFINITELY lean more towards the "feminine" side. I decided that Bugaboo Sean was the best I was going to do (and he's pretty cute) so off I went in search of a sketch and the one at Crazy 4 Challenges struck me as the simple, masculine kind of sketch:
I still wasn't sure what to do about the Cameo Coral but eventually managed to fit it in there...barely!
Recipe - Stamps: Sean Bugaboo (Totally Stampalicious), Vintage Labels (sentiment, SU!) Paper: Whisper White, Handsome Hunter, Cameo Coral, Ballet Blue Ink: Handsome Hunter, Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Copics, paper piercer, hodgepodge hardware (pewter), Argyle & Tiger embossing folders, hemp twine

Polka Dot Party at The Shabby Tea Room
Polka dots? I LOVE polka dots! Who doesn't love a good polka dot print? And you all know how much I love my Swiss Dots... This week's inspiration picture over at The Shabby Tea Room comes to us from Debbie:
Don't you just love all those polkie-dots? And that ribbon? Yummy! I wanted to use pink and white but knew I'd have to throw one more color in there ~ two colors is NOT enough! So, out came my new favorite neutral, Basic Grey, and with the sketch from Stampin' Royalty to guide me...
... I did this:
Recipe - Stamps: Psalm 121:1-2 (Verve) Paper: Whisper White, Basic Grey, Pretty in Pink, SU! DP Ink: Basic Grey Accessories: Spots & Dots embossing folder, paper piercer, adhesive pearls, Marvy corner punch, felt leaves, crocheted flower, button, hemp twine
You all know how hard it is for me to do CAS and I think this card comes as close to CAS as I can get. I've tried "cleaner" and "simpler" but can't get the hang of it... I just love my layers and embellies!

Hello to Sunday!!! And you all know what that means... a brand, spankin' new Curtain Call! This week's colors are ones that you wouldn't normally think of putting together but when you do, they actually work:
I paired them with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge:
Et voila!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge & a Card Patterns Sketch
Welcome to the weekend, peeps!
And for those of us in Canada, it's a L-O-N-G weekend! Well, *some* of us have to work on Monday, but most have the day off... The weather has improved slightly as it is not raining anymore but it is still cool and cloudy so I made the executive decision to stay inside and CRAFT for a bit today! I slept in until 10:30, got up to do some "work" and then sat down to a couple of fun challenges.
When I saw this week's inspiration picture over at The Cupcake Inspiration Challenge I started to drool...don't they look YUMMY?? Almost too good to eat....*ALMOST* (I'd TOTALLY eat them up!) I love the colors and the simplicity of the picture:
I decided to take the colors and the flowers, leaves and polka dots for my inspiration and paired it with the sketch challenge over at Card Patterns - well, kind of... I didn't put the brads/circles in the corners and added a sentiment in the bottom right corner...
Recipe - Stamps: Small Script (SU!) Paper: Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Gable Green, Whisper Roses, SU DP Ink: Chocolate Chip Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, paper piercer, button, twine, Sweetest Stem Embosslit, Chocolate Chip satin ribbon, hodgepodge hardware
Thanks for stopping by - I hope to get a couple more done today but if I don't, please stop in tomorrow for Stacey's Curtain Call! See you then!

Pile It On Meets the Pink Elephant
Hello crafty peeps!
I wish Mother Nature would decide what she's doing - the last 24 hours have given us wind, rain, snow and a *bit* of sunshine... I know it is the long weekend in Alberta and it's a given that the weather will likely not cooperate with those who like to go camping but GOLLY GOSH!
Lori and I were going to go for a nice leisurely walk yesterday afternoon but ten minutes into it, the wind started and by the time we got back to the car, the rain wasn't far behind and it was COLD. SO, what's a girl to do? Come home and craft, of course! I finished this card last night but couldn't post it because *someone* (DS#2) left my camera on after he decided to take random pictures of my computer screen...what a goof!
I have had this inspiration picture from the Pile it On Challenge since Monday - the softness of the room is very soothing and I used the colors as my inspiration:
Recipe - Stamps: Baroque Motifs (SU!), Rose (Little Paper Shop) Ink: Chocolate Chip Paper: Very Vanilla, Blush Blossom, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip, SU! DP Accessories: Swiss Dots & Victoria embossing folders, adhesive pearls, flower punch, Very Vanilla satin ribbon, hodgepodge hardware, oval punch
I haven't used ANY of this Styled Vanilla HPH --- until now--- so this card also qualifies for the ABC Challenge of "U" - unused stash!
As much as I want the sun to come out, I am kind of hoping that it doesn't so I have an excuse to stay inside and craft instead of doing the yard work that is calling my name...*wink* Hopefully I will be back tomorrow with a couple more new ones! See you then!

Color Throwdown Throwdown!
Can you believe it's Thursday already? And a LONG weekend, to boot! I am hoping the weather cooperates so I can get out in the yard and do some *stuff*... Of course, I hope to have some time to craft, but that goes without saying! LOL
When I saw the Color Throwdown colors yesterday, I knew I wanted to make a card right away...
... but I had to go to work and boot camp before I could focus on creating (darn work gets in the way all the time!!!). So, when I got home, I sat down and got crafty. I happened to be checking my Facebook and noticed that my friend, Lori, was going to craft too. SO - I challenged her to do the Throwdown with me...and then we challenged our other friends, Tamie and Leanne to do the same! Lori has finished her card, but I'm waiting for Tamie and Leanne to get their butts in gear! LOLAnyhow, I combined the colors with the sketch from Delightful Sketches and Challenges:
... and came up with this:
Recipe - Stamps: Beautiful Kindness (Verve) Ink: Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo Paper: Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, SU! DP Accessories: Scoring blade, Nestabilities, paper piercer, crocheted flower, button, hemp twine, chipboard glitter, Mod Podge, corner punch, adhesive gems
I hope you are enjoying your week - I'm heading out for a walk with Lori so I hope to be back in lots of time to do some more crafting... maybe... :) See you later!

Oh Happy Day at Totally Stampalicious & Picture Perfect Creations
Welcome back! I only have one more card for you today since I was able to combine my Picture Perfect Creation Challenge with the Totally Stampalicious challenge... lucky me!
So, over at Picture Perfect Creations Megan has come up with a rather *tame* combination...
I thought this combination would be pretty easy to put together since three of the colors are neutrals and the other one is a *fun* color! I couldn't find any Green Galore so I used Gable Green instead...
The challenge over at Totally Stampalicious this week is the challenge to use photo corners somewhere on your card... sounds easy, right?
Then I made it a three-'fer and let the OCC Sketch guide me. . .
. . . to this fun card:
Isn't this little guy super-duper cute?? He's the Fat Mice Balloon Bugaboo from Totally Stampalicious and there's another one with him and a flower... I still haven't used that one but I'm thinking I may just have to so that sooner than later... :)
Thanks for taking the time to stop by - make sure to stop over at the PPC Blog and the Totally Stampalicious blog to see what the rest of the girls created - they are all so freakin' talented. :) Enjoy your Monday - see you later!
